About me
Geges Löwl – Portraitfotografie
My love for photography began when I was young and has accompanied me throughout the last few decades on its journey from analogue to digital - via the darkroom to Lightroom.
I originally studied German literature and physics, then toured as a guitarist with my band and have always been interested in the history of civilised humanity and the hopelessness of philosophy in everyday life - despite a great affinity for it.
I mainly earn my living by helping people with a refugee background to integrate into the labour market.
Sensitive, curious, sometimes cheeky and definitely brash - that is indeed what I am. I want to portray personalities, capture characters and utilise my deep understanding of the nature of human beings: That is my photographic ambition.
I grew up in Swabian southern Germany, spent many years in Munich, have two sons and have lived in Switzerland since 2014. In addition to photography, I am passionate about the craft of brewing beer, being outdoors in nature, literature and almost any kind of music - but my favourite is jazz.
